The same thing also could happen with the application you already installed. If you feels the application runs more slower and heavier than usual when you use it, then you can tweak it by clearing the applications cache and/or data to make the application runs as fast as usual.

How to clear cache and data of the applications?
Some of user also said that they were managed to solve some software problems by clearing the application cache and data. Well, below are the complete steps to do so:
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Applications manager.
  3. Find the application you wish to clear its cache and/or data by swiping the screen to appropriate screen: Downloaded, Running or All.
  4. Tap the desired apps.
  5. Tap Clear cache button then tap OK button to confirm clearing the applications cache.
  6. Tap Clear data button then tap OK button to confirm clearing the applications data.
  7. Tap Home button to return to the standby mode.

For the record, if you clearing the data of certain apps then any data stored in that app will lost, such as settings, login information, and saved games. So, if the problem was solved by clearing the cache, then you don't need to perform clearing the applications data. So, hope this helps :)

    1. Hi Ali Alnees,
      Thanks for coming.
Theoretically, it(clear cache and data) won't delete any picture on your Gallery app. It just repopulates the pictures on the Gallery app and revert the Gallery app settings to the default. I've done clear the Gallery app cache and data several times and never lost any picture.

    1. Hi Claire,
      Thanks for coming.
No, you won't. I personally have tried this several times and I never lost any message. If you're worried, you can backup your message first using Kies or other backup app before performing clear cache and data.

    1. Hi Holli Marshall,
      Thanks for coming.
Based on what I have experienced before, I can say that when you delete the music app (even when this app is already uninstalled) under miscellaneous files then all files you have downloaded with this app will probably be deleted. Therefore only delete those which you believe that it's not important and unused for you.

  5. So deleting cache and data on unused apps will not do any unwanted damage correct? Like I dont use drive, flip board, han,gouts,ect..and what about using the force stop option? Any info you know about that? And in the application manager section in settings you can view downloaded-running-all-turned off ect...... when you go to the all category what about clearing apps and such
that you have no idea what they are? Thanks for any advice

    1. Hi Mallory Stempfley,
Thanks for coming and I'm so sorry for so late answer.
Before answering your questions, we have to know the differences between clear cache and clear data.
      - deleting cache of an app: this will clear temporary files that are stored in your phone in order to speed up the way you access/use the app. If you delete the cache, your phone will save the cache again when you access or use the app.
      - deleting data of an app: this will delete the app data (e.g: settings, accounts, game level, Internet histories, etc). As the example, if you delete data of a game app, you will lose your game level, the current settings, etc.

Now, let's go back to your questions:
      1. Is it safe to delete cache and data on unused apps?
Answer: from what I know, deleting cache of an app won't give you any problem, but deleting data of an app will make you lose your current settings, game level, etc.
      2. Is it safe to force stop an app?
Answer: force stop an app will make your phone to forcefully stop the app from running. Your phone will start to run the app again if you access a file or anything associated with the app.
      3. Is it safe to clear cache of all apps listed in app manager?
Answer: it's recommended for users to only clear cache or data for user apps since do so on system apps may give you some unexpected issues or problems.

  6. Is there any way I can get it back? I accedentily deleted them and I don't know how to get them back

From what I know, deleted cache can't be recovered.
