By assigning an individual ringtone in certain contact, when he calls you, the phone will ring the individual ringtone you have assigned for him previously. While for other contacts that not assigned with the individual ringtone, you can assign a default ringtone for them through the Settings menu or the Phone app.

    • Tap Sound picker to pick a song from the music player app.
    • Select the desired song you wish to use.
    • Tap Done button.
    • Every time you receive a call, the phone will ring the selected music/mp3 file.

Method #2: From the Phone app
  1. Open Phone app.
  2. Tap the Menu key and then select Call settings.
  3. Scroll down to find Ringtone and sound settings section, and then tap Ringtones and keypad tones.
  4. Tap Ringtones.
  5. To select ringtone from the Samsung default ringtone go to the step #6, while to use your own music/mp3 file go to the step #7.
  6. Use Samsung default ringtone:

    1. Hi KRISHNAN ANANTHARAMAN,
      Thanks for coming.
There are two methods that can be taken:
Method #1: By enabling the "notification readout" feature
FYI, you have to add "your friend number" to your favourite contacts list. Use the following steps to enable the notification readout feature:
      1. Go to the settings menu.
      2. Find the "Language and input", and then tap it.
      3. Tap "Notification readout".
      4. Check the box next to "Calls from favourite contacts" to enable this option.
      5. From now, when your favourite contact calls you, your phone will read the caller's information. As the example, if you have added Krisnan as favourite contact, your phone will say "incoming call from Krishnan" when he calls you.

Method #2: Record your voice and then set it as contact ringtone.
You can do so by using the following steps:
      1. Open Voice recorder app.
      2. Record your voice.
      3. Once done, open your recordings list.
      4. Long tap the voice recording you have just recorded to select it.
      5. Tap the three dot icon at the top right and then select "Set as".
      6. Tap "Caller ringtone".
      7. Select the required contact to assign the voice recording as contact ringtone.
      8. From now, when the selected contact calls you, your phone will play the voice recording as ringtone.
