Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Enable or Disable High Contrast Keyboards Feature in Samsung Keyboard in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If you're a low vision user or have difficulty when typing with the default Samsung keyboard size and colours, you can enable the high contrast keyboards feature to have your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge adjusts the size of the Samsung keyboard and change its colours to increase contrast between the keys and the background so you can see the keys with ease and type better.

How to enable or disable the high contrast keyboards feature in the Samsung keyboard?
As the example, we'll turn on or off this feature by using two different methods: from the Samsung keyboard settings and from the accessibility menu.

Method #1: From the Samsung keyboard settings
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to the screen to find Language and input and then tap it.
  3. Tap Samsung keyboard.
Alternatively, when you're entering text, you can quickly go to the Samsung keyboard settings by long tapping the key in the left side of the space bar and then tap .
  4. Scroll down the screen to the Customisation section and then tap the ON/OFF switch next to High contrast keyboards to enable or disable this option. When the switch turns , means the high contrast keyboards feature is enabled and your phone will adjust the size of the Samsung keyboard and change its colours to increase contrast between the keys and the background so you can type better.

Method #2: From the Accessibility menu
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to find Accessibility and then tap it.
Alternatively, if you have enabled the direct access feature and selected the accessibility option, you can quickly access the accessibility menu by pressing the Home key three times quickly to open up the direct access menu and then tap Accessibility.
  3. Tap Vision.
  4. Scroll down the screen and then then tap the ON/OFF switch next to High contrast keyboard to enable or disable this option. When the switch turns , means the high contrast keyboards feature is enabled and your phone will adjust the size of the Samsung keyboard and change its colours to increase contrast between the keys and the background so you can type better.

Please note that when you enable the high contrast keyboards feature while the one-handed input feature is on, you'll be informed that the high contrast keyboards feature will be used instead of one-handed input keyboard. The option to adjust the keyboard size will automatically be disabled too.
