Samsung Galaxy S5: How to Reset Kids Mode Application in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat

I have ever been asked by insiders about how to exit from the Kids Mode without using PIN. FYI, you can only exit from this mode by entering the 4-digits PIN numbers of the Kids Mode, otherwise you'll stuck in this mode even if you force to restart your phone. From what I know, the only way to exit from the Kids Mode if you forget the PIN is by performing factory reset which I surmise most of us don't want to deal with it. So, if you forget your PIN and don't want to encounter this issue, you can avoid it by resetting the Kids Mode app so that you can re-configure this app and set a new PIN. However, it'd better if you write down your PIN somewhere safe so that you can use it when you forget your PIN.

How to reset Kids Mode app?
As a note, this steps will remove Kids Mode settings, profiles and PIN, but it won't delete any Kids Mode files, e.g: kids voice recorder, kids camera, etc., which you can still find in the Kids Mode folder in the internal storage. Well, you can reset Kids mode app by using the following steps:
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right of the screen to go to the settings menu.
  2. With the settings menu is displayed in grid view, scroll down to the Applications section and then select Application manager .
  3. Swipe the screen from the right to the left to access the ALL tab.
  4. Scroll down to find Kids Parental Control and then tap it.
  5. Tap Clear data button.
  6. Tap OK button to continue the process.
  7. Once done, you can tap the Kids Mode icon in the home screen or in the apps menu to re-configure Kids Mode app and set a new PIN. You can see the complete steps to configure the Kids Mode app here.
